Jon hilton

has owned and operated Hiltronex Sound since 1970. With nearly 50 years of experience in the discipline of audio and video media production, his work extends from sound production for radio, television and film, to musical and SFX scoring, to electronics design and installation and beyond. Previous clients include NPR, Sesame Street, Nickelodeon, Kellogg’s, PBS Broadcasts, Frontline, National Geographic, and many more.

In addition to his work as a freelance audio engineer, Jon teaches as a full time faculty member at Ithaca College. Since 1994 he has instructed students in audio production courses for cinema, television and radio. His business has also successfully funded an annual scholarship for IC Park students since 2008.
